Start with the terminal and final address
Paris-Orly uses terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4. Record the operating airline, flight number, terminal, landing time and final Paris entrance before choosing the transfer. A hotel porte, apartment courtyard and office security desk create different handovers.
The confirmation should include a precise meeting point and live contact. “Meet at arrivals” is not enough when a group is tired, carrying luggage or arriving through different formalities.
Private car, taxi or public transport?
Metro Line 14 can be an efficient choice for travellers with light luggage and a destination close to the line. A regulated taxi provides a direct public option. A pre-arranged chauffeur is most useful when the party needs a named contact, child seats, luggage capacity, several vehicles or a coordinated property handover.
The right answer is contextual. A solo returning traveller may value speed and simplicity; a family of five with pushchairs and cases needs capacity and responsibility more than a particular badge on the car.
Separate transfer from airport assistance
A chauffeur normally handles the road movement from the agreed pickup point. Fast-track, airside welcome, baggage assistance or escort through airport processes are separate services controlled by the airport, airline or authorised handling provider.
Ask exactly where assistance begins and ends. Never assume that the phrase “VIP transfer” includes restricted-area access.
Build margin into the first day
Landing time is not hotel-arrival time. Formalities, baggage, walking through the terminal, loading and road conditions all sit between the aircraft and Paris. Avoid placing a fragile restaurant reservation or timed cultural visit immediately after arrival.
